Nearly four and a half months after the previous coach's initial media briefing as Rangers head coach, his replacement the German coach met with reporters at Rangers' stadium for the initial occasion.

The scale of the task facing him is widely recognized, given his predecessor's chaotic and unsuccessful 123-day tenure.

The ex- Sheffield Wednesday boss was accompanied by club chairman Andrew Cavenagh, along with the frequently questioned duo of sporting director Kevin Thelwell and chief executive Patrick Stewart.

But what precisely did we learn from the young German's first public appearance as the club's manager?

Rohl's Primary Focus - Winning is Everything

One thing emerged clearly from the new coach's first appearance before the Scottish media - he recognizes the need to secure victories, and achieve this rapidly.

His predecessor Martin managed just 17 matches and 123 days in charge, so the question emerged about how long Rohl thinks is reasonable to turn around the struggling squad.

Although deftly avoiding a specific response that could bring later expectations, the coach's message was very evident.

"Hopefully as soon as possible," he said. "That is essential.
"In this business you have limited opportunity. You can discuss long-term vision but it's understood it's about the short-term and that period is about winning games. This is what I demand.
"Another aspect remains obvious - I need every squad member to understand our intended to play. I come back to my primary theme: it's winning, entertaining football and it's together. By following this sequence, I believe that I will remain very long here."

Expectations are Normal

Martin required a police escort to exit the stadium after his last match as manager.

We've witnessed how toxic situations can become at football clubs when results are poor. Demonstrations have nearly become a regular aspect of the matchday atmosphere on each part of Glasgow these days.

As the club's most youthful ever head coach, the inquiry asked about what qualities the coach thinks he possesses that would enable him to handle, let alone excel, in one of the most pressurized roles in British football?

"In my opinion expectations in this business is normal," he commented. "One needs to understand that rapidly.
"I believe some people could reference my age but I have been a decade and a half on this path. I had an excellent chance to be at Bayern Munich and be only an assistant coach, but I experienced what it means to be a head coach and the demands involved.
"When you start winning games and then certain people claim you need to play attractive football. That becomes the stage but that's exactly my intention. I enjoy those expectations and I look forward for what's ahead."

The Sporting Director Explains Chermiti Signing & Appointing Family Member

Kevin Thelwell media conference

The media pack had plenty of questions from journalists for Thelwell.

Significant attention has concerned the appointment of his son as head of recruitment, with supporters skeptical about his credentials for the position.

However, he justified and explained the decision to recruit his son to the club.

"It remains awkward to hear and optically I think everyone understood when we made this decision to appoint Robbie that he would be seen in a particular way," Thelwell stated.
"The reality of the situation is that we aim to bring the very best talent to this club.
"My view on his professional path and background is he required no my assistance in football.
"He served at Aston Villa as head scout, after which he joined Norwich as scouting chief and then was elevated to player pathways manager.
"Prior to our recruited him, two top division clubs sought to sign him. Our approach right at the beginning of the process was consult with Patrick, the chairman and deputy chairman Marathe about this matter.
"I remained highly transparent and I believe he likely underwent a stricter process than any other who's employed by the team.
"I'm certain is that he'll labor 25/8 to achieve success for this football club and I anticipate to him demonstrating that he's going to be an excellent staff member for Rangers."

Thelwell also defended the signing of striker Chermiti, who arrived at the club for an alleged first payment of eight million pounds, having failed to find the net in 24 games for Everton.

The sporting director who brought the Portuguese youth international to Liverpool from Sporting Lisbon - again for significant money in a fifteen million pound transfer.

The question came if he supports his multi-million pound signing, who is yet to register in seven outings for Rangers.

"Yes, very much so," Thelwell responded. "I think the striker is a player who's got great ability.
"I haven't questioned him whatsoever. Again, I believe the manager will assist in maximize the potential out of the player.
"It's very early days for the young player, he's a young talent and of course with young talents they sometimes take time.
"But I'm certain throughout of his time here he'll demonstrate that he's a highly capable player."

Stewart Understands Fan Frustration and Hurt

Stewart was also facing firing line, given the criticism that has been aimed his way by certain club fans.

There was even a banner in the Sandy Jardine stand during the recent draw with United suggesting him - and Thelwell - to pack his bags before being removed for him.

Like his football director, Stewart didn't avoid the issue.

"I totally understand the frustration and hurt that the supporters are experiencing because results recently haven't been good enough and no one is satisfied with those," he stated.
"The hurt and frustration fans experience is mirrored inside the leadership.
"Also understand that there has to be a channel for those frustrations and as chief executive, that's me.
"I serve as focal point for such issues and my responsibility as a
